About us
The Peace Foundation for Development and Studies is a non-governmental organization that started its work in January 2012 as two youth initiatives, namely the National Development Initiative and the Young Leaders for Change initiative to build active youth in society and empower them in the social, economic, political and conflict transformation mechanisms. And it was established with the license of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. (766) on January 15, 2014.
The Foundation seeks to build peace by transforming conflicts, strengthening social cohesion, and empowering youth and women politically, economically and socially, involving them in the decision-making process and sustainable development for the sake of peace and security.
The Foundation Strategic objectives:
1. Promoting the values ??of citizenship, coexistence, human rights, democracy, and the culture of peace building and conflict transformation.
2. Achieving gender equality, empowering women and girls, and building the capacities of youth and empowering them in the social, economic and political fields.
3. Producing research and studies on the role of public policies that seek to improve good governance and advocate for them.
4. Strengthening the institutional building of local organizations by raising their capabilities in project management, resources management, and administrative and organizational skills.
5. Responding efficiently to humanitarian needs by overcoming hunger, providing protection and shelter programs for the displaced and refugees, improving the level of basic services, including access to clean water and sanitation, as well as strengthening the ability to face crises and disasters.
6. Promoting sustainable development by enhancing resilience, improving livelihoods, supporting small and medium businesses, providing innovative solutions in the field of decent work opportunities, and enhancing the capacity for creativity and innovation.
